It was an honour to do a project for Google. We were handed the challenge of creating a landing page for an upcoming invite only Google Playtime Developer conference, taking place across three key cities in Europe. As this was the first point of contact for the attendees and speakers, it needed to be eye catching and clear as to what the event was about and when the speakers were present.
To establish the design connection between Google and Android coming together to form 'Google Playtime' we needed to use mainly Google's existing brand elements, typography and colour palette. However, there was room for additional ideas and concepts such as 'line style' illustrated cities representing the event locations.
The landing page itself was constructed with one thing in mind: easy usability. We structured the page carefully so that there was a main call to action on a user's screen at all times. The calendar was design with clarity and ease for the user to navigate.
The clarity and crispness of this Landing Page was a key factor along with the utilisation of white space contrasting with the vibrant colours of Google to bring it all together.
